Using Ferchr

Ferchr helps people find photos of themselves from events, and helps hosts and photographers share and sell them. You must be 16 or older to use Ferchr on your own; younger people may use it only with a parent or guardian.

Guests do not need an account. Hosts and photographers sign in with a code sent to their email.

Hosts and photographers

You may upload only photos you took or have the right to share, of events where people were told photos would be taken and shared. Tell your guests you use Ferchr (the poster and guest page do this for you).

For each event you host, you decide why its photos are collected and shared: you are the controller of that data and Ferchr processes it for you, following our Data Processing terms below. If children are present, turn on child-safe mode and make sure you have their guardians' consent to photography.

You keep the copyright in your photos. You give Ferchr a licence to store, process (including face matching inside the event), display and deliver them to the people in them and to anyone you share them with, only to run the service.

Do not upload unlawful content, intimate images, or photos taken where people expected privacy. We remove content that breaks these rules and may close accounts, including for repeated copyright complaints.

Selling photos

Photographers set their own prices. Buyers can only unlock photos they appear in. Payments are processed by Paystack; the photographer is paid directly, minus Ferchr's fee shown at sign-up and in Studio.

A purchase gives the buyer a personal licence to keep, print and share their photo, not to resell it. Refunds for a photo that is not of you, or does not unlock, are made on request to support@ferchr.com.

Plans and payments

Free events have limits shown in the app. An Event Pass is a one-time payment for one event. Photographer Pro renews monthly until you cancel; cancelling keeps Pro until the paid month ends. Prices include any VAT that applies.

Faces and privacy

Face matching is opt-in for each guest, limited to one event, and never used to identify people elsewhere. How we handle data is explained in our Privacy page.

Data processing for hosts

Ferchr processes event photos and face data only on your instructions (the settings you choose), keeps them confidential and secure, uses Paystack, Supabase and Render as sub-processors, helps you answer guests' requests, deletes face data when face search ends and photos when you delete them, and tells you without undue delay about any breach affecting your event.

Liability

Ferchr is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer.
